July 29, 2026—Patricia Becker, Associate Dean for Public Management at Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) Business School, visited the School of Economics and Management (SEM) at Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) on Tuesday afternoon.
Ms. Becker was received by Xu Junhua, Deputy Director of the University's Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges of SWJTU; Li Liang, Vice Dean of SEM; Fan Ting, Director of the International Affairs Center at SEM; and Su Tong, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Center.
Meeting in session
Vice Dean Li Liang extended a warm welcome to Ms. Becker and introduced the attending faculty members. On behalf of the university, Deputy Director Xu Junhua delivered opening remarks, providing an overview of SWJTU's academic history, disciplinary strengths, and international partnerships. He expressed hope that the meeting would serve as a starting point for both institutions to leverage their respective strengths and explore practical, diversified avenues for collaboration.
Following the welcome, Vice Dean Li Liang presented SEM's profile across four key areas: school overview, talent cultivation, educational outcomes, and internationalization initiatives. Ms. Becker then introduced FDC Business School's development trajectory, educational philosophy, flagship programs, and global partnerships, fostering a deeper mutual understanding of each institution's educational resources and strategic vision.
Exchange of commemorative gifts
During the discussion session, both sides explored potential cooperation in faculty and student exchange programs and joint training initiatives. They agreed to maintain open communication and gradually advance specific collaborative projects.
The meeting strengthened mutual understanding between the two institutions and laid a solid foundation for expanded cooperation in the future.
